Adding Products

Add individual products to your catalog using the product form.

Creating a New Product

Step 1: Open Product Form

  1. Navigate to Products
  2. Click Add Product button
  3. The product form modal opens

Step 2: Fill in Product Information

Enter the following product details:

Product Number

  • Your internal SKU or article number
  • Required field (in most cases)
  • Example: “PROD-001”, “TOM-123”

Product Name

  • The name of the product
  • Required field
  • Be clear and descriptive
  • Example: “Organic Tomatoes”

Product Description

  • Optional text field
  • Provide additional details about the product
  • Can include usage information, features, or other relevant details

Package Unit

  • Required field
  • The unit of packaging for this product
  • Examples: “kg”, “piece”, “box”, “L”, “pack”

Stock

  • Optional number field
  • Current stock quantity
  • Enter 0 or leave empty if not tracking stock
  • Must be 0 or positive number

Availability

  • Dropdown selection
  • Choose between:
    • Available: Product can be ordered
    • Not Available: Product cannot be ordered
  • Defaults to “Available”

Step 3: Product Image (Optional)

You have two options for product images:

Option 1: Use Automatic Image

  • Check the Use Auto Image checkbox
  • The system will automatically assign an image

Option 2: Upload Custom Image

  • Leave the Use Auto Image checkbox unchecked
  • You can either:
    • Upload an image file from your computer
    • Provide an image URL

Step 4: Save Product

  1. Review all entered information
  2. Click Add Product button
  3. The product is added to your catalog
The product now appears in your product list and is available for orders (if set to “Available”).

Editing Existing Products

To modify a product:
  1. Find the product in your product list
  2. Click on the product
  3. The product form opens with current information
  4. Make your changes
  5. Click Update Product to save

Deleting Products

To remove a product from your catalog:
  1. Click on the product to open it
  2. Click the delete icon in the top right
  3. Confirm the deletion
  4. The product is removed from your catalog

Field Requirements

Required Fields

  • Product Name
  • Package Unit
  • Product Number (in most cases)

Optional Fields

  • Product Description
  • Stock
  • Product Image

Tips

  • Use consistent naming for easy searching
  • Keep product numbers unique for each product
  • Update stock levels regularly if you track inventory
  • Add descriptions to provide more information to customers
  • Use clear package units that customers understand
  • Set availability correctly to control whether products can be ordered
