Shopping Basket
Your shopping basket holds all products you’re ordering before you complete the order.Accessing Your Basket
Open your shopping basket:- Click the basket/cart icon (usually in the header)
- Or click View Basket from the product page
- The basket modal or page opens showing your items
Basket Contents
The basket displays:- Product name: Each item you’ve added
- Quantity: How many units of each product
- Unit price: Price per unit
- Subtotal: Quantity × Unit price for each item
- Order total: Sum of all items
Managing Basket Items
Adjusting Quantities
To change how many of a product you’re ordering:- Find the product in your basket
- Use the quantity controls (+ / - buttons or input field)
- Enter the new quantity
- The subtotal and total update automatically
Removing Items
To remove a product from your basket:- Find the product in your basket
- Click the remove/delete button (usually an X or trash icon)
- Or set the quantity to 0
- The product is removed from your basket
Adding More Products
While viewing your basket:- Close the basket or navigate back to products
- Continue browsing and adding items
- Your basket persists as you shop
- Reopen basket when ready to complete order
Delivery Information
Select your delivery details:Delivery Location
- Choose from your saved delivery locations
- The order will be delivered to this address
- See Delivery Locations to manage addresses
Delivery Notes
- Add special delivery instructions
- Specify delivery time preferences
- Note any access codes or special requirements
- Include substitution preferences
Reviewing Your Order
Before completing, verify:- All items are correct: Check product names and quantities
- Quantities are accurate: Ensure amounts match your needs
- Delivery location is correct: Verify the address
- Order total: Review the final amount
- Delivery notes: Add any special instructions
Completing Your Order
When you’re ready to place the order:- Review all basket items
- Confirm delivery location
- Add any final notes
- Click Place Order, Complete Order, or Checkout
- Confirm the order in the confirmation dialog
Order Confirmation
After placing your order:- You’ll see a success message
- The order is sent to the vendor
- Your basket is cleared
- The order appears in your Order History
Basket Persistence
Your basket:- Saves automatically: Items remain as you browse
- Per vendor: Each vendor has its own basket
- Session-based: Persists during your login session
- Clears after ordering: Basket empties when order is placed
Basket for Different Order Types
Regular Vendor Orders
- One basket per vendor
- Switch between vendors to see different baskets
- Complete one vendor order at a time
My Inventory Orders
- Separate basket for your own products
- Access via “My Inventory” mode
Multi-Order Mode
- Can add products from multiple vendors
- System tracks which products go to which vendor
- Creates separate orders for each vendor when you complete
Common Basket Actions
Save for Later
If available, you can:- Save your current basket as a draft
- Come back and complete the order later
- Convert basket to a product list for future use
Clear Basket
To remove all items at once:- Look for Clear Basket or Empty Basket button
- Confirm you want to remove all items
- Basket is emptied
Edit While in Basket
You can make changes directly in the basket without going back to the product page.Tips
- Review before completing: Always double-check quantities and items
- Use product lists: For repeat orders, save basket as a product list
- Add delivery notes: Help ensure smooth delivery
- Verify location: Confirm delivery address is correct
- Check availability: Ensure products are in stock before ordering
Troubleshooting
Basket Empty After Adding Items
- Check you’re looking at the correct vendor’s basket
- Verify you’re still logged in
- Try refreshing the page
Cannot Complete Order
- Verify all required fields are filled
- Check internet connection
- Ensure at least one item is in basket
- Try clearing browser cache
Quantities Keep Resetting
- Make sure changes are saved before navigating away
- Check for browser issues
- Verify internet connection is stable
