Inventory Management

Bestellfix provides comprehensive inventory management tools to track your storage locations, ingredients, and recipes.

Inventory Features

Storage Units

Manage physical storage locations:
  • Create and organize storage units
  • Track addresses and details
  • View ingredients by storage location
  • Organize by storage type (freezer, cooler, dry storage, etc.)

Ingredients

Master ingredient list management:
  • Add and manage all ingredients
  • Define units of measure
  • Track allergen information
  • Bulk upload via CSV
  • Link ingredients to storage locations

Recipes

Recipe management with ingredients:
  • Create recipes using your ingredient list
  • Define recipe details and instructions
  • Edit and update recipes
  • Delete recipes as needed
  • Organize your recipe library

Accessing Inventory Management

To access inventory features:
  1. Navigate to Manage in the main menu
  2. Select the specific feature:
    • Storage: Manage storage locations
    • Ingredients: Manage ingredient master list
    • Recipes: Create and manage recipes

Getting Started with Inventory

Step 1: Set Up Storage Units

Create your physical storage locations first:
  1. Go to ManageStorage
  2. Add storage units for your locations
  3. Name them clearly (e.g., “Walk-in Cooler”, “Main Freezer”)

Step 2: Add Ingredients

Build your ingredient master list:
  1. Go to ManageIngredients
  2. Add ingredients one by one, or
  3. Use bulk upload to import many at once

Step 3: Create Recipes

Document your recipes using the ingredients:
  1. Go to ManageRecipes
  2. Create new recipes
  3. Add ingredients from your master list
  4. Define quantities and instructions

Inventory Workflow

A typical workflow:
  1. Setup: Create storage units and add ingredients
  2. Recipes: Document recipes using those ingredients
  3. Integration: Connect with Sides POS (if applicable)
  4. Maintenance: Update ingredients and recipes as needed

Integration with Ordering

Your inventory management can connect with ordering:
  • Reference ingredients when ordering products
  • Track which products contain which ingredients
  • Link vendor products to your ingredients
