Reorder suggestions are automatically generated recommendations that tell you which ingredients need to be ordered, how much to order, and when. Mathership calculates suggestions based on the reorder configurations you set on each ingredient — taking into account current stock, consumption history, lead time, safety stock, and review period.

Go to AutomationReorder Suggestions. The page shows automatically generated reorder suggestions for your ingredients.

How suggestions are generated

Mathership generates a suggestion for an ingredient when the calculated stock coverage falls below the threshold defined in the ingredient’s reorder configuration. The calculation uses:
InputWhat it means
Current stockOn-hand quantity in the configured storage unit
Review periodThe window in days used to calculate average daily consumption
Lead timeHow many days it takes for an order to arrive
Safety stockHow many days of buffer stock to keep on hand
Min. order quantityThe smallest quantity that should be included in an order
Suggestions are grouped by vendor and storage unit. Each suggestion can contain multiple ingredients from the same vendor.

  • The ingredient has at least one reorder configuration
  • The review period is set to a value greater than zero
  • There is consumption history for the ingredient
  • The status filter is set to Pending
Dismissing removes it from the pending list but does not prevent a new suggestion from being generated if stock remains low.Delete the reorder configuration if you want to stop suggestions permanently for that ingredient.
