# Weekly Orders

> Review weekly order activity and compare order performance for a vendor company

# Weekly Orders

The weekly orders report helps vendors review recent order activity.

Use this report to understand how many orders were received during the current week and compare order activity over time.

## What are weekly orders?

Weekly orders are a summary of order activity for a vendor company.

The report can help vendors see whether order volume is increasing, decreasing, or staying stable.

## Who can access weekly orders?

The weekly orders report is available to vendor users.

A vendor can only view weekly order information for their own vendor company.

<Warning>
  Vendors cannot view weekly order reports for another vendor company.

## What the report shows

The weekly orders report can include comparison data such as:

| Field                | Meaning                                                        |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Current week orders | Orders received in the current week |
| Previous week orders | Orders received in the previous comparison period |
| Difference | Change between the compared periods |
| Trend | Whether order activity increased, decreased, or stayed similar |

The exact values depend on the report configuration.

## Why weekly orders matter

Weekly order activity helps vendors understand how their customer ordering behavior changes over time.

This can be useful for:

* Daily and weekly planning
* Customer follow-up
* Delivery planning
* Stock preparation
* Team workload planning
* Monitoring customer activity

## Typical use cases

Use weekly orders to:

* Check whether this week is busier than last week
* Spot a drop in customer ordering activity
* Support weekly vendor reporting
* Prepare for delivery and picking workload
* Review whether customers are actively using Mathership

## Weekly orders vs order list

The weekly orders report is a summary.

The order list shows the actual individual orders.

| Area          | Purpose                                    |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Weekly Orders | Compare order activity by week |
| Order List | View and manage individual customer orders |

Use the weekly orders report for a quick performance overview. Use the order list when you need to inspect or process specific orders.

## Accessing weekly orders

To access weekly orders:

1. Go to **Vendors**
2. Open your vendor company
3. Go to **Reports**
4. Open **Weekly Orders**

Depending on the interface, weekly order information may also appear on a vendor dashboard.

## How to use the report

Review the weekly orders report regularly to understand order activity.

| Situation            | Possible action                                         |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Orders increased | Prepare for higher processing workload |
| Orders decreased | Check whether key customers are still ordering |
| Orders stayed stable | Continue monitoring normal activity |
| Sudden drop | Review customer access, availability, or recent changes |
| Sudden increase | Check stock and delivery capacity |

## Best practices

### Review the report weekly

Use the report as part of your regular vendor dashboard check.

### Compare with the order list

If order numbers change strongly, open the order list to see which customers created the change.

### Follow up with inactive customers

If orders drop, check whether important customers have stopped ordering.

### Keep product availability updated

Unavailable products can affect order activity, so keep availability current.

### Use the report for planning

Weekly order trends can support staffing, stock preparation, and delivery planning.

## Common problems

### Weekly order data looks lower than expected

Check that:

* You opened the correct vendor company
* Orders were actually sent
* Draft and scheduled orders may not count as completed order activity
* The orders belong to this vendor company

### Vendor cannot access the report

Check that:

* The user is logged in
* The user has the vendor role
* The vendor company belongs to the logged-in user

### The report does not show individual orders

This is expected. Weekly orders are a summary report. Use the order list to view individual orders.
