Use this report to understand product demand, review popular items, and identify products that may need extra attention in purchasing, stock planning, or catalog maintenance. ## What are top products? Top products are the products with the highest ordering activity for a vendor company. The report shows a short list of the most ordered products for the selected vendor company. ## Who can access top products? The top products report is available to vendor users. A vendor can only view top products for their own vendor company. Vendors cannot view top product reports for another vendor company. ## What the report shows The report can include product information such as: | Field | Meaning | | -------------- | ------------------------------------------ | | Product name | Name of the ordered product | | Product number | Vendor product number, if available | | Packaging | Packaging or order unit | | Price | Product price, if maintained | | Availability | Whether the product is currently available | | Stock | Stock value, if maintained | | Product image | Product image, if available | The exact fields shown can depend on the product configuration and user interface. ## Number of products shown The report is designed as a short dashboard-style overview. It can show the top 10 ordered products for a vendor company. This report is intended for a quick overview, not for a full sales or product export. ## Typical use cases Use top products to: * Identify frequently ordered products * Review high-demand products * Check whether important products are available * Maintain images and packaging information for popular items * Support purchasing and stock planning * Understand which products customers use most often ## Product demand Top products help vendors understand customer demand. If a product appears regularly in this report, it may be important for daily operations. Examples: | Situation | Possible action | | ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | | Product is ordered very often | Keep product data clean and up to date | | Product has no image | Add or update the product image | | Product has unclear packaging | Review packaging levels | | Product is marked unavailable | Check whether availability should be updated | | Product has no price | Add a price if pricing should be visible | ## Product data quality The report is more useful when product data is maintained well. Important product data includes: * Product name * Product number * Packaging * Price * Availability * Product image * Packaging levels This helps customers recognize products more easily and helps vendors process orders more clearly. ## Top products vs product list Top products are a report. The product list is where vendors manage their full product catalog. | Area | Purpose | | ------------ | ------------------------------------- | | Top Products | Quick report of most ordered products | | Product List | Full product catalog management | Use top products for analysis. Use product management when you need to add, edit, delete, upload, or update products. ## Accessing top products To access top products: 1. Go to **Vendors** 2. Open your vendor company 3. Go to **Reports** 4. Open **Top Products** Depending on the interface, top products may also appear on a vendor dashboard. ## Why top products matter ### Better stock awareness Frequently ordered products may need closer stock monitoring. ### Better product maintenance Popular products should have clear names, packaging, prices, and images. ### Faster customer support Vendors can quickly identify which products customers order most often. ### Better catalog quality Top products show where clean product data has the biggest impact. ## Best practices ### Review top products regularly Check the report to see which products are most relevant to customers. ### Keep popular products available If a frequently ordered product becomes unavailable, update availability clearly. ### Maintain packaging information Clear packaging helps customers understand what they are ordering. ### Add images for important products Product images make popular items easier to recognize. ### Keep prices current If prices are used, keep them updated for products that are ordered often. ## Common problems ### Product does not appear Check that: * The product has been ordered * The order belongs to the correct vendor company * The product belongs to the correct vendor company * You opened the correct vendor company ### Vendor cannot access the report Check that: * The user is logged in * The user has the vendor role * The vendor company belongs to the logged-in user ### Only a few products are shown This is expected. The report is designed to show top products, not every product. ### Product information looks incomplete Check the product record and update missing information such as product number, packaging, price, image, or availability. ## Related pages Add products to your vendor catalog. Update product names, numbers, packaging, stock, prices, and descriptions. Mark products as available or not available. Add or manage product images. Manage packaging structures such as crates, boxes, bottles, bags, or units. Review recently registered or connected customers. Review weekly order activity.
